The upgrade you’ve been (im)patiently waiting for is here; WAMS is proud to present our fully immersive CarPlay and Android Auto Upgrade for GM’s Ultium line of EV’s!

This upgrade includes fully integrated wired and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in all the ways you’ve come to expect (and some you haven’t!) without compromising any existing features or functionality. Full onscreen CarPlay and Android Auto, fully integrated Infotainment display source menu integration as well as Instrument Cluster media display/now playing, source lists etc. Even full Apple Maps integration in the Instrument Cluster and Turn-by-Turn Navigation instructions on the HUD (if equipped). You can even use the Factory Navigation for EV Charging route guidance while using CarPlay or Android Auto as a music source!

This upgrade is available through our new WAMS2U service if you have (or are willing to purchase) the proper tool. You can see all of the information and requirements of the WAMS2U service HERE including tool information etc.

You can also opt to remove and ship in your module to us to have the upgrade performed if you so choose. Should you choose the ship in method the vehicle will not run without this module (at least not safely) so please keep this in mind when choosing your delivery method however we do our best to turn items like this around as quickly as humanly possible. This module is located generally on the passenger side behind the glovebox area and is relatively simple to remove. We are working on gathering instructions for removal for those not quite mechanically inclined however those are not available just yet. Once you receive the unit back all you’ll need to do is plug it back in and reassemble the trim you removed and enjoy CarPlay/Android Auto!

IMPORTANT PRE-ORDER REQUIREMENTS: Prior to ordering a dealer should update all modules using vehicle wide programming as well as the USB update to the radio. Once this is completed use the special contact form HERE and send us your vehicle information as well as a picture of your radio software version screen which can be found by navigating Settings -> System -> About. This will help us confirm all of the updates have indeed been done by checking the build number.

Once we have confirmed everything is ready to go you may place an order and either ship your unit in OR after you have the proper scantool in hand use the same form HERE with the appointment option to get your vehicle upgraded.
